Incredible India!

On the third day of my stay in Chennai, my uncle took me and my mom to see the Shore Temple and the Five Rathas. There are other monuments too. Together they have been declared a World Heritage Sight. The structure was built during the Pallava Dynasty under King Narasimhavaram. The temple is affected by the rough sea and the salt laden winds. The inscriptions are fading away due to these winds.

I also visited the Pancha Ratha. It consists of five shrines for the five Pandavas.

The architectural beauty of the place proves that India has a very rich heritage. Truly incredible India!

A breathtaking scene

Well it wasnt the first time that I travelled by an airplane but the first time I travelled over the sea,the Bay of Bengal. Yesterday I and my mom boarded the flight to Chennai from Bhubaneswar. Although I hadnt mentioned my seat preference while booking tickets, coincidentally my seat was a window seat. As soon as it was time for take-off I began to gaze outside. After we took-off I was taking in the air-view of BBSR. We left the city behind in minutes.Soon after that I lost interest and began to read my book. Later on I sought to look out of the window once more and saw that the land was coming to an end and there was a vast stretch of blue. At first I didnt seem to understand. Then it hit me, the Bay of Bengal. Once we left the landmass and were flying over the sea there was blue all around. It felt great, almost as thought the sky and the sea were merging. There wasnt anything other than that to relate but the beauty of my blue surroundings is something I can never forget. However,I know one thing whatever it is I will see it again and the day isnt faraway. On 27th of February I will be going back to BBSR.

New Class

Hey,I havent posted for a long time. Well its because of my class 8 finals. As I sit here I'm waiting for class 9 to begin. This year is going to be different. The prospect of my class being shuffled has been haunting me ever since class 8 ended. The study pressure is going to build up steadily. It is in class 9 that we enter the ICSE stream. We will also go to the labs for practicals. That is the most exciting part of being in 9th in my opinion. We will finally be treated properly like seniors. When a class ends there is alot of excitement and anticipation for the next one. The fear of section change lingers around us all the time. We have our fingers crossed. We are told that we cant avoid the unavoidable. But I think more than unavoidable this is unecessary. However,at the moment, I am waiting for the results of the finals to come out. I just hope sections wont be changed. Well there are advantages and disadvantages of being a ninether at Loyola. But a line in Harry Potter(my favourite!!) says "you cant have everything in life". So for now and I've let my heart out so.......goodbye!!!
