Experience of a Lifetime

Yesterday, I had an opportunity to see my role model Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam,former President of India. He was present in the KIIT campus to inaugurate the Children's Science Congress. It was an honour to see him and to be addressed by him . I was eagerly waiting for him to address the gathering and when he did so I paid every single bit of attention to him. He told us that to achieve something, to have our names attached to the list of great people we must work hard and dream to fly. He asked  us to repeat after him these lines:
"I'm born with potential
I'm born with greatness
I'm born with wings
So I'm not meant for crawling
I'll fly,I'll fly,I'll fly"

He said that to be a scientist our greatest friends must be great books,great scientists and great teachers. He told us that to improve the quality of thinking we must challenge our mind. He told us that when we perform any scientific research or experiment we surely face some problems. But we must not let the problem become our captain but become the captain of the problem. He told us that we must be confident.

The effect of this whole experience is still there. Indeed 4th January,2012 was a great day and the new year brought me a great gift. I cannot explain how great it was to be a part of a gathering which was being addressed by him. And at the end when he left in his car,he waved at us and we got to see him closely. Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam is a great source of inspiration and I feel  honoured to have been able to see him and been addressed by him!

Don 2 Review

Due to the excitement for Ra.One, Don 2 went quite unnoticed for a while. But soon there were a huge number of people looking forward to its release. The sequel begins as a continuation from the point where Don had ended. The story moves on as Don who is in Thailand, goes to Malaysia to get Vardhan out of jail. He gets himself arrested and escapes with Vardhan with the help of an ingenious plan he devised. Then along with Vardhan he plans to rob off the currency plates from a German bank. As in Don, the ending of Don 2 is as unexpected as it can get. The action sequences were really thrilling. I was completely absorbed for the three hours I watched the movie. And watching it in 3D just took to yet another level. King Khan Shahrukh Khan's performance was great. His acting was highly commendable. The movie has certainly raised the bar. Public has called it 'Paisa Vasool' and I agree with them without any apprehension. Don 2 was an amazing exprience and a great New Year treat for me..!!

New Year..!!

Goodbye 2011. And we bid farewell to yet another wonderful year. I have experienced,learnt and shared a little more. I have gained knowledge of a year's worth. I have made new friends and have definitely enjoyed the year to the fullest. 2011 has indeed been great to me. I developed closer ties with my friends. Ofcourse people went....but at the same time I met new people. Even though I've cried over silly stuff, I've been immensely happy about many meaningful incidents. This year I went to Badrinath high up in the Himalayas. I had never been to the mountains before,so that was a new experience. I attended coaching classes in a different school for my NTSE competion exam. Yet another new experience. So I just hope that the new year is as good or maybe better..!! Happy New Year!!
