For quite some time now we are all aware of the 2012 Doomsday prediction. This story began with a claim of a planet Nibiru much larger than the Earth, approaching the Earth. Nibiru is a name from Babylonian astrology. The Sumerains according to NASA scientists had very little understanding of astronomy and left no records. According to Mayan predictions the Earth would end on 21st December 2012, Winter Solstice. They used to predict and make a calendar for some millena. The time period is called long count. This calendar ends on Doomsday. However a new calendar begins from the next day. There are also speculations about a astronomical phenomenon called Polar Shift. Now if you try to look for images of Nibiru I think you should know this before hand
The great majority of the photos and videos on the Internet are of some feature near the Sun (apparently supporting the claim that Nibiru has been hiding behind the Sun for the past several years). These are actually false images of the Sun caused by internal reflections in the lens, often called lens flare. You can identify them easily by the fact that they appear diametrically opposite the real solar image, as if reflected across the center of the image.
